Kathal is the founder and Executive Chairman of FHG. Kathal is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years experience, 21 of these as a principal of his own firm. Kathal holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Law) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Technological Entrepreneurship) from Curtin University and a Diploma in Finance Broking. Kathal has been actively involved in the finance broking industry since 1999. Kathal was Chairman, founder and major shareholder of two sub aggregation businesses. The most recent of these had 70 brokers and a loan book of almost $3 billion when it was sold.
Lee is Australia’s leading expert in inserting a Financial Services division into Accounting Firms having helped over 300 Firms create, manage and develop a profitable finance broking business utilising the FHG model.
Lee is responsible for the recruiting and ongoing development of our brokers, relationships with lenders, as well as the establishment and management of the finance offering for our Accountancy Partners. Before working at FHG, Lee was previously State Manager for BT Financial Group in WA/SA and NT, and Regional General Manager in Westpac’s Retail and Business Bank. Lee has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Bedfordshire, Certificate IV in Financial Services, and Insurance Broking Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Fellow of the Leadership Development Signature Program at Leadership WA.
Regional Manager, WA
Geoff has now been working at FHG for over 3 years and helps many of our WA based Accountants with business loans for their clients. Geoff has a passion for small business and helping business owners with new equipment finance applications to help their business grow. Prior to Broking, Geoff worked for over 15 years at Bankwest and Westpac in Retail and Business Banking. He holds a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking.
Relationship Executive SA/NT/QLD
Lachlan has been involved with FHG for over 5 years in a variety of capacities including Marketing Director and Relationship Executive. It’s in his current role helping accountants across Australia with complex commercial enquires and client structures where he excels. He also oversees our Centre of Excellence, which is where all referrals received by our team from our accounting partners are triaged with the wider team to discuss and agree the best possible
outcome/strategy for our client which is relayed back to our accountants prior to loan submission. This Centre of Excellence is a key factor of our success in writing complex transactions as well as delivering speedy client outcomes.
Client Services Manager NSW, VIC, QLD, and ACT
Based on the Eastern Sea Board, Conor plays an important strategic role at FHG in helping us maintain and deepen relationships with lenders headquartered in NSW, VIC, and QLD. As well as those relationships, Conor manages some strategic accounting group relationships in Sydney. He has a passion for client service and management gained as a Practice Manager within an accounting firm.
Relationship Executive VIC/TAS
Deval has been working at FHG for over 12 months and looks after our accounting and bookkeeping partners’ in Victoria and Tasmania. Deval started her career in banking in India, where she worked in a Private Bank helping high net worth clients with their banking needs. After moving to Australia with her family, Deval turned to broking due to being able to offer advice across a panel of lenders rather than one bank policy, a critical point for our accountants who
refer to us due to being Independent. She holds her Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking and has a passion for helping accountants and their clients.
